Ex-Newsman The New PR Person At APD
The Albuquerque Police Department has a new spokesperson as Mayor Tim Keller's administration continues to reshape things at City Hall.
Longtime newsman and PR pro Gilbert Gallegos started on Monday as APD's director of communications and community outreach.

He replaces Celina Espinoza, the PR lady who lied to the public about the Victoria Martens murder case.
Gallegos spent many years as a reporter at The Albuquerque Tribune, the city's now-defunct afternoon newspaper. Then he was a top aide to Gov. Bill Richardson, and then a spokesman for Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham.
Expect Gallegos to bring to APD the values of a real newsman: openness, integrity, timeliness and honesty.
Espinoza bailed from her $74,000-a-year city job on Nov. 13, the day before Keller won a landslide victory over Dan Lewis in the mayoral race.(See story posted below).
