The arrogant self-importance of saving the planet

George Carlin nailed it many years ago when he ripped smug environmentalists for wanting to save the planet. The planet, Carlin said is fine; it's human that are screwed up.

Then he noted that the Earth is 4.5 billion years old, and in that time has survived much more than us arrogant little humans can throw at it. Watch it below. It's one of Carlin's best routines.
